Fighting EX Layer Released on PS4, Launch Trailer

What began as an April Fools joke last year has evolved into a new (yet nostalgic) 2.5D fighting game. Arika has released Fighting EX Layer on PlayStation 4 as a digital title, with "Light" $39.99 and "Standard" $59.99 versions currently available for purchase. DLC color packs are also live for several characters, ranging from $4.99 to $9.99 each. To celebrate the release of FEXL, Arika uploaded a launch trailer for the game.

Blade Strangers Heads West August 28th, Release Date Announce Trailer, Game Modes Details

Nicalis announced that Blade Strangers is coming westward on August 28th, 2018 (two days before the Japanese release). The indie crossover 2D fighter will offer a traditional and streamlined 4-button control scheme, aiming to attract both casual and experienced fighting game players. Confirmed modes, include: Story, Arcade, Challenge, Survival, Versus, Online, Tutorial, Training, and more. Nicalis also uploaded a new release date announcement trailer.

The King of Fighters Collection: Orochi Saga Now Available on PlayStation 4

Out of the blue, SNK released The King of Fighters Collection: Orochi Saga on PlayStation 4 for $14.99. Originally released on PS2 over a decade ago, this compilation package includes the first 5 games of the series: KOF '94 through KOF '98. The port is still based on the PS2 version, which includes Color Edit mode and the Arrange soundtrack option. On Youtube, SNK uploaded a 2-minute trailer for the PS4 release of KOF Collection: Orochi Saga.

Nearly 1 Hour of New Soul Calibur 6 Gameplay

Veteran Soul Calibur players across the globe are gearing up for what's looking to be the best competitive Soul Calibur game since arguably the pinnacle of the series, Soul Calibur 2. The gameplay of SC6 looks fast and furious, with enticing new mechanics aiming to please both players and spectators. While we patiently wait for the October 2018 release, let's take a look at over 20 minutes of HD gameplay the E3 build - which contains 13 playable characters and 9 stages.

Arika Vice President Ichiro Mihara Tweets Fighting EX Layer Teaser Image of Pullum Purna

On Twitter, Vice President of Arika, Ichiro Mihara, posted a teaser image of SFEX series veteran Pullum Purna. The "possible" return of Pullum was previously announced by Arika in the way of concept art back in March. The fact that this image shows Pullum's in-game character model almost confirms she'll appear in the game in the future. Arika still hasn't clarified how character DLC will be released for the game.

SFV: Arcade Edition Getting Devil May Cry & Megaman Crossover Costumes

To date, Capcom has released Street Fighter V crossover costumes based on characters from the likes of: Viewtiful Joe, Darkstalkers, Star Gladiator and Ghosts & Goblins. The latest crossover costumes coming to SFV: Arcade Edition hail from Capcom's Devil May Cry and Megaman series. In this set, Ken Masters gets a Dante costume, Ed will dress as Nero, Laura cosplays as Gloria, and lastly, Rashid dons a ful-fledged Airman costume.

Fighting EX Layer Trailer Shows PS4/PS4 Pro Differences Plus In-Game Footage of Vulcano Rosso

Next week, Fighting EX Layer comes out on PlayStation 4, marking the return of many Street Fighter EX personalities who haven't been in the spotlight since the PS1/PS2 era. Today, Arika released a new trailer showing the subtle graphical differences between the PS4 and PS4 Pro versions. The trailer also shows the first (clear) in-game footage of Vulcano Rosso - which pretty much confirms him as a post-launch DLC character!

Jubei, Hakumen, Aegis, Naoto, Carmine, Vatista & Yuan Xiao Long Now Available in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

The first wave of DLC characters join BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle today! BlazBlue's Jubei & Hakumen, Persona's Aegis & Naoto, Under Night In-Birth's Carmine & Vatista, and RWBY's Yuan Xiao Long are now available for download. BBTAG's Character Packs #2 and #3 cost $4.99 each, while Yuan Xiao Long is completely free to download. Arc System Works also dropped a new trailer for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle showing the DLC fighters in action.

SFV: Arcade Edition Cody Official Movelist

Capcom posted Cody's full movelist ahead of his upcoming release (from prison?) in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on June 26th, 2018. Cody's SFV iteration contains tons of throwbacks to his humble 2D side-scrolling origins, including: the names of certain moves, move inputs, and of course, details in the animation. Get a head start and check out Cody's official movelist from Capcom's official site. Cody will be the new mayor in town next Tuesday, June 26th, 2018!

Mian Joins SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy in New Gameplay Trailer with Luong

Nintendo released a new SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy trailer that confirms KOF XIV's Mian for the roster. Just over a minute, the new gameplay trailer shows some interesting tag-team combos with Mian and Luong working as "A Mysterious Duo". In addition to showing off her kung-fu, Mian's "shy" personality can be seen in her official alternate costume artwork (also in the trailer). SNK Heroines comes to PS4 and Switch on September 7th, 2018.

Soul Calibur VI "Soul Chronicle" Story Mode Features Amazing Illustrations by Hiroaki

Here at TFG, we particularly respect and love fighting games and fighting game developers who put "artwork" at the forefront of their game design. Already, Bandai Namco's Takuji Kawano has shown us some breathtakingly detailed illustrations for Soul Calibur VI's characters. The artistic inspiration will continue in SC6's "Soul Chronicle" story mode. We're pretty certain KOF series veteran Hiroaki is behind these amazing illustrations which will appear in the game's story mode.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Coming to Switch in 2018, E3 Nintendo Direct Trailer + Gameplay

During Nintendo's E3 presentation, it was revealed that Arc System Works is bringing Dragon Ball FighterZ to the conveniently portable Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018. The Switch version is already in playable form at E3 2018 (booth #1647). Here's the quick 30-second announcement trailer for the Switch port. Also enjoy 4-minutes of DBFZ undocked Switch gameplay from E3. No official release date has been announced yet.

Soul Calibur VI Release Date is October 19th, E3 Story Trailer, Collector's Edition & Season Pass

This afternoon at E3, Bandai Namco released the Soul Calibur VI story trailer and finally announced the game's release date - October 19th, 2018. Additionally, they announced a Collector's Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, featuring a 120 page art book, soundtrack, 12" Sophitia figure, metal case, and more. The SC6 Season Pass was also announced, which contains 3 playable characters and 2 armor packs. More details coming soon!

E3 '18 Soul Calibur VI Gameplay Roundup (4K Quality)

If you can't wait to revisit the tale of souls and swords, you must feast your eyes on these 4K quality Soul Calibur VI matches from E3 2018. It's the highest quality footage we've seen of the game thus far. Curiously, some of the new captured 4K footage is "slower" than the normal gameplay speed... but at least these videos provide an opportunity to appreciate the crispy visuals, animation, and new moves.

Neo Geo Mini Online Presentation, Full Games List, Launches in Japan This Summer

SNK posted a 12-minute online presentation video to show off the Neo Geo Mini console. The video runs through all of the NGM's specs and features, and unveils the official games list for both the Japanese version and the International version. The online presentation also features a look back at Neo Geo history, featuring commentary by original SNK designer Masanori Kusumoto and former Editor-in-Chief of ARCADIA magazine, Masashi Sawatari.

E3 2018 Soul Calibur VI Gameplay Footage

With E3 2018 now officially underway, we have some more great fighting game news. Soul Calibur VI producer Motohiro Okubo sat down with IGN to show off brand new SC6 gameplay. The video shows the first raw in-game footage of newly announced characters like Geralt, Taki, Maxi, and Siegfried. There's several full matches showing almost every playable character to date, along with at least 2 brand new stages - since they're using a brand new build of the game.

Fighting EX Layer English Trailer Previews DLC Color Sets

Fighting EX Layer is set to debut at the end of this month on June 28th. Arika released a new English trailer for the game which basically previews the game's characters, modes, and Gougi selection. The end of the trailer reveals several DLC color sets for various characters. There will also be some optional but cool-looking (and very shiny) "Gold/Silver" DLC colors that players can purchase.

13 Minutes of Dead or Alive 6 E3 '18 Gameplay, New Details from Director Yohei Shimbori

IGN posted a 15 minute Dead or Alive 6 video interview with gameplay from E3 '18. In the video, Game Director Yohei Shimbori answers some questions about DOA6 and drops some major new details. Here are some of the bullet points: The core mechanics will remain the same, appealing to casual players is going to be a "major sales point," and a Nintendo Switch version is not in development. When asked about DLC plans, Yohei said "They haven't thought that far ahead."

Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Announced, Kicks off at CEO Gaming Fighting Game Championships 2018

Dragon Ball FighterZ has taken the competitive fighting game arena by storm, currently leading EVO 2018 in participant numbers (followed by SFV and TEKKEN 7). Thanks to its success, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the official DBFZ World Tour, a multi-stage tournament set to kick off at CEO 2018 in Daytona Beach, Florida (June 29-July 1). Dead or Alive 6 Announced, First Trailer & Screenshots, Coming to PS4, XB1 & Steam in 2019

Koei Tecmo revealed today that Dead or Alive 6 is in development and is planned for a 2019 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam! The reveal trailer begins with some cinematics and transitions into gameplay. So far... DOA6 seems to have a more "mature" vibe, with less of an emphasis on skimpy costumes and more focus on stage interactions, dynamic camera angles, facial expressions, and battle damage on characters. SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy Luong Reveal Trailer

The newest female combatant to join SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is the Tae Kwon Do expert, Luong, who made her debut in The King of Fighters XIV. Luong shows off her flashy kicks in the her SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy reveal trailer (which leaked a bit early). In the trailer, we also get a look at two of Luong's alternate costumes. If SNK posts a longer version of Luong's trailer, this article will be updated.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Launch Trailer + Message From Developer Mori Toshimichi

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is now available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. To celebrate the release, Arc System Works posted a launch trailer for the game which features some commentary by developer Mori Toshimichi. Mori notes that BB:TAG was designed to be a game that "everyone can enjoy" thanks to its accessible characters & mechanics, yet retains "depth and discovery" for players who really dive in.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is still a few months away from release, coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch later this year (September 2018). TFG's character artwork gallery for SNK Heroines is now live, featuring only the best high-res artwork of SNK's iconic female fighters in a variety of interesting costumes. SF:30th Anniversary Collection - Street Fighter III Series Retrospective Video from Capcom

Capcom uploaded their third Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary retrospective video, this time highlighting the legendary and groundbreaking Street Fighter III series. When it comes to 2D animation quality, gameplay depth, and fleshed out character designs, SFIII: New Generation, 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike were years ahead of their time. Still to this day, the SFIII trilogy is widely regarded to be among the best 2D fighting games of all time

Latest SFV: Arcade Edition Crossover Costume Has Ryu as Arthur From Ghosts 'n Goblins

Capcom Unity previewed the next crossover costume coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and it's another one that old school Capcom fans will appreciate. Ryu will equip the armor (and epic beard) of Sir Arthur - who debuted in Ghosts 'n Goblins in 1985. This crossover costume compliments M. Bison's recently released "Astaroth" skin (as Astaroth is the main antagonist of Ghosts 'n Goblins).

Arika announced the official release date for Fighting EX Layer. The game becomes available digitally on June 28th, 2018 exclusively on PS4 (and is PS4 Pro enhanced, as well)! Enjoy a new batch of screens & artwork. The "Light" version is $39.99 (includes all 12 main characters, 5 Gouji Decks + 2 trial Gouji decks which will rotate weekly). The "Standard" version is $59.99 (comes with Hokuto DLC + all 15 Gouji Decks).

Another fan-favorite veteran has been confirmed for Soul Calibur VI. Bandai Namco uploaded Maxi's reveal trailer early this morning! The iconic Nunchaku-slinger is back in action yet again, showing off some new and old techniques to style on his opponents. Kenny Omega Stars in Mayor Cody's SFV: Arcade Edition Reveal Trailer

After the conclusion to Combo Breaker 2018's Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Grand Finals, Capcom dropped the reveal trailer for SFV's next DLC character, the legendary Final Fight protagonist, (Mayor) Cody Travers. New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar Kenny Omega reaffirmed his commitment and passion for fighting games and the FGC by appearing in Cody's reveal trailer - as Mayor Cody himself. Cody joins SFV's roster on June 26th, 2018!

Harada: "It's Safe to Expect More to Come for Tekken 7",  "Tekken Vs. Street Fighter Still on Hold"

TekkenGamer.com recently sat down with TEKKEN series producer Katsuhiro Harada for a interview of sorts. The release of Noctis marked the end of TEKKEN 7's announced post-launch DLC content... and fans have been wondering if there will be more. In the interview, Harada said "TEKKEN 7 sales have met expectations, I believe we have enough good will to ask for further investment. So, yes, I think it is safe to expect more to come!" Many other questions are asked in the full interview.

Capcom's latest 15-minute retrospective video focuses on the legendary Street Fighter Alpha series. It also features great commentary from FGC personality, James Chen. Blade Strangers Character Trailers for Lina, Emiko, Curly and Ali, Official Movelist & Controls

Last week, Nicalis released Blade Strangers character gameplay trailers for Liongate, Gunvolt, Noko, Kawase Umehara, and Helen. This week, we get to check out several additional character trailers, this time highlighting Lina, Emiko, Curly, and Ali. Each trailer is under a minute long and gives you a basic idea of how each character will fight.

New SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy Trailer Introduces Love Heart, Alternate Costumes & Modes

Love Heart from The King of Fighters XIV (and originally SNK's pachinko series, Sky Love) is the latest female fighter to be announced for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. A new 3-minute Japanese trailer from SNK shows off brand new gameplay with a variety of characters, and runs through some of the games modes and features. Near the middle of the 3-minute trailer, all 3 costumes for Love Heart, Kula, Athena, and Yuri are shown.

Tekken 7 Free Update Hits May 31st, Adds Story Costumes, Artwork Panels & New Customizations

Over the past few months, the arcade version of TEKKEN 7: Fated Retribution was updated with new content for customization. Producer Katsuhiro Harada announced that this FREE content will be released in the console versions on May 31st and includes the following: Story costumes, artwork panels, arm/leg aura, new Bullet Club shirts, Lars X Hiroshi Tanahasi costume/Rage Art, new female hairstyles, metallic (silver) item set, new face stamps, new player titles, and new designs for health gauges/plates.

Vegito & Zamasu Join Dragon Ball FighterZ May 31st

Dragon Ball FighterZ's two new DLC characters are all set to join the roster on May 31st, 2018. Vegito (SSGSS) and Fused Zamasu will be available for purchase individually for $4.99 and are included in the DBFZ FighterZ Pass. Fighting EX Layer Hayate Versus Jack Official Gameplay

Arika has uploaded more gameplay footage showcasing the latest build of Fighting EX Layer. The 5-minute gameplay video features newcomer Hayate facing off against Jack. Inspired by the original samurai character who debuted in SFEX2, the new Hayate shows off sword combos and a mighty shoulder attack. In related news, Arika will be bringing a new playable build of Fighting EX Layer to this weekend's Combo Breaker 2018 (May 25-27).

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle - Persona 4 Arena Character Interactions Trailer, Yang Xaio Gameplay

Arc System Works America uploaded a new English BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle trailer. The 2-minute "Persona 4 Arena" highlight trailer shows a variety of fully-voiced character interactions starring Persona 4's investigation team. This is, of course, the first time these characters are interacting... so their conversations will be entertaining for fans, especially those who are familiar with all of the respective series represented in BBTAG. Aksys also posted new gameplay of RWBY character, Yang Xaio Long.

An Additional 12 Mins of New Fighting EX Layer Gameplay Featuring Jack, Shadowgeist, D. Dark, Hokuto & Others

If you enjoyed the brand new Fighting EX Layer gameplay from earlier this week, Arika posted yet another 12-minute gameplay video, this time featuring footage of Jack (previously known as Cracker Jack), along with Shadowgeist, Doctrine Dark, Hokuto, and several others. Speaking of other characters, the latest build shows significant updates to characters like Allen Snider, Darun, and Garuda (over their beta counterparts), including character model updates, new voiceovers for special moves, and new animations.

Street Fighter V Characters Join Power Rangers: Legacy Wars Mobile Game

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is a mobile fighting game currently available on Android and iOS devices. Sabin Brands and Capcom just announced a Street Fighter crossover with Power Rangers: LW, featuring playable characters: Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, M. Bison, Guile, and Cammy. The veteran Street Fighters look and animate very closely to their SFV incarnations. Check out the reveal trailer for this mobile crossover title. The game also features artwork by UDON artists, Long Vo and Jeffrey "Chamba" Cruz.

12 Minutes of Fighting EX Layer Gameplay Featuring Shadowgeist, Sanane, D.Dark & Hokuto

After a long absence, SFEX fan-favorite characters such as D. Dark, Shadowgeist, Cracker Jack, and Blaire Dame are all set to return to action in Fighting EX Layer. The latest FEXL gameplay shows off 12 minutes of action, including the first raw gameplay of Shadowgeist. We also get a better look at movesets for Sanane, D. Dark, and Hokuto. The new footage also allows us to appreciate the visual upgrades of the latest build of the game, featuring an updated HUD, improved graphics, and several new stages!

The Original Guilty Gear is Coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch & Steam as a Digital Title

Arc System Works announced during their recent Japanese stream that the original Guilty Gear will be getting a digital re-release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam. Aksys didn't mention any release window or additional details regarding the port, but did remind everyone that the series is celebrating its 20th anniversary today! Guilty Gear originally released on May 14th, 1998. Stay tuned on TFG for further news about the upcoming PS4, Switch & PC port of Guilty Gear(Source: ASW Twitch)

Shovel Knight Confirmed for Blade Strangers, Extended Opening Cinematic

Back to back guest character reveals for Blade Strangers? Yesterday, Nicalis revealed Isaac from Binding of Isaac was as a new playable character in Blade Strangers. And today, Nicalis confirmed Shovel Knight (from... Shovel Knight) as yet another playable guest character. Check out Shovel Knight's full Blade Strangers gameplay reveal trailer. Additionally, Nicalis uploaded an "extended" version of the game's opening cinematic.

Blade Strangers is Getting a Guest Character, Isaac from Binding of Isaac

Coming to consoles in Summer 2018, Blade Strangers is a 2D fighter putting a variety of characters, from a variety of different games (and some original), into 1 fighting game. The latest "guest character" to be added to Blade Strangers is Isaac from the indie-hit, Binding of Isaac. In addition to this announcement, Nicalis released a full character gameplay trailer showing what Isaac can do in the game. And wow... just wow.

SNK Officially Confirms "Neo Geo Mini" as Their 40th Anniversary Hardware

The leak was true! SNK has officially announced the Neo Geo Mini. The collectible mini-system features a full functioning: a 3.5" screen, 40 games, an HDMI port, 2 controller ports on either side, and customizable marquee & stickers. Dragon Ball FighterZ New Features and Balance Patch Arriving May 9th, Full Patch Notes

Bandai Namco announced Dragon Ball FighterZ will receive an update on May 9th, adding new features and a balance patch. New features include: Party Battle, FighterZ Cup, Combo Challenge, Replay Channel, and updates to Training Mode. All fighters received minor to major balance updates as well. Leaked Images of SNK's "Neo Geo Mini" Arcade Cabinet with 40 Games, HDMI, Extra Controller

Last month, SNK announced that they are working on a new hardware to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. If these leaked images are actually real, SNK's new hardware is called the "Neo Geo Mini". Although this hasn't yet been confirmed by SNK, early reports are saying this mini arcade cabinet features 40 games, an HDMI port, and comes with an extra Neo Geo CD inspired controller, customizable marquee, and stickers. No release date or pricing details are available yet.

Street Fighter: 30th Anniv. Collection Capcom Retrospective Video on SF1/SF2

With Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection releasing at the end of this month, Capcom has uploaded the first part of in their new retrospective video series. The first video is full 15-minutes long, covering Street Fighter 1 and the entire Street Fighter 2 series. It's a great watch for players new and old, featuring excellent commentary with fun facts about the humble beginnings of this 30-year-old series.

Fighting EX Layer Hokuto & Sanane Gameplay, "Standard" and "Light" Version Video Preview

PlayStation Japan recently uploaded 3 new Fighting EX Layer gameplay videos. The first one shows returning character, Hokuto (confirming her original version as a playable character in the game). The other two videos show off content in both the "Standard Version" ($59.99) and "Light Version" ($39.99). The Light Version trailer also reveals some brand new gameplay footage of one of the game's newcomers, Sanane.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle North America Beta Announced

Two weeks ago, Arc System Works announced dates & details regarding the BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle beta in Japan (for PS4 & Nintendo Switch). The North America beta has now officially been announced for PS4, and closely mirrors the timing of the Japan beta. Players who pre-ordered gain access to the beta starting May 9th, and all PS4 users can try the game out on May 12th. The beta features 20 playable characters.

SNK released a new trailer for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy today, confirming two more female fighters - both who debuted in The King of Fighters XIV. Zarina and Sylvie join the line-up and are bringing some wild new costumes with them. New new trailer shows off tag-team gameplay of Sylvie and Zarina in action. SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy will release September 7th, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Blade Strangers Coming Summer 2018, New Gameplay, Screenshots & Opening Movie

Blade Strangers is an upcoming 2D fighting game developed by Studio Saizensen and produced by Nicalis. The title is set to be released this Summer on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. A new gameplay video shows off the game's unique visuals, which use 3D renders for characters and animations that are later touched up by artists to resemble 2D "cel-like" sprites. Along with the new gameplay, Nicalis released the full opening cinematic for Blade Strangers.

The reveal trailer for Vegito, Dragon Ball FighterZ's next confirmed DLC fighter, has been leaked early. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegito is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta via the Potara earrings. Fighting EX Layer Releasing Late June, PS4 Pro Enhanced, Updated UI Video, Playable at Combo Breaker '18

Arika released a new teaser trailer for Fighting EX Layer. The "screenshot-only" trailer shows off the game's user interface (UI), PS4 trophy support, and a still image of new character, Sanane. In addition, Arika announced on Twitter that the PS4 Pro version will run at 1080p with "shader level 3" while the standard PS4 version will run at 720p with "shader level 1". Arika also mentioned FEXL will release worldwide by the end of June 2018 and are bringing a playable build to Combo Breaker 2018.

New Character Art Panels by Bandai Namco Artists Coming to Arcade Version of Tekken 7

TEKKEN Official revealed 9 brand new character art panels drawn by various Bandai Namco artists, including: Takuji Kawano, Kenji Kimura, Sagara Hiromi, Andou Makoto, and Satoko Nakayama. As you may know, these artworks can be equipped by players for their characters on the VS screen. The new artwork panels will be released for the arcade version of TEKKEN 7 on April 26th. Bandai Namco hasn't confirmed when (or if) these will be released for the home versions.

Samurai Shodown III ACA NeoGeo Port Now Available on PlayStation 4 in North America

Back in February 2018, Hamster Corp. announced the release of Samurai Shodown II and Samurai Shodown III ACA NeoGeo ports on PS4 / Xbox One, but SS3 only released in some regions (and wasn't available on PSN in North America). Finally, the PS4 port of Samurai Shodown III is now available on NA PSN for $7.99. If you're not familiar with ACA NeoGeo ports, these arcade perfect ports offer several modes, such as: Japan Version Mode, English Version Mode, Hi Score Mode, Caravan Mode, and a wide variety of settings.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R Coming to Nintendo Switch

Today at the Nexon Developers Conference 2018 in South Korea, Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Arc System Works' Daisuke Ishiwatari and Hideyuki Anbe were present at the event to announce that the Switch version will include original music tracks created by the late Korean musician, Shin Hae-chul. Fused Zamasu is Dragon Ball FighterZ's Next DLC Character, Official Artwork & Screenshots

Bandai Namco released official screenshots and artwork of the latest confirmed DLC character coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ, Fused Zamasu. A major antagonist of the Future Trunks saga, Zamasu is a fusion of Goku Black and Future Zamasu through the Potara earrings. Bandai Namco stated on Facebook that the character is "coming soon" to DBFZ but hasn't announced an official date. Without further ado, check out the first Dragon Ball FighterZ images of Zamasu.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Adds Hakumen, Naoto & Vatista, PS4/Switch Japan Beta Details & Dates

Arc System Works announced 3 more characters for Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, once again in the form of a new gameplay trailer. The new characters confirmed include Hakumen from BlazBlue, Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4 Arena, and Vatista from Under Night In-Birth. These 3 characters will be among the 20 DLC fighters for the game.

SNK Planning Special 40th Anniversary Hardware Featuring a Collection of Classic NeoGeo Games

Today, SNK announced they are currently working on a new hardware to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. This new device will feature a collection of classic NeoGeo titles. SNK specifically mentioned that the following series will be supported for the new hardware: Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, The King of Fighters, and Metal Slug (in addition to others). SNK mentioned this project is fueled with gratitude as SNK wants to thank fans who have supported the works of SNK over the years.

Virtua Fighter Costumes Coming to Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night

Sega announced their upcoming rhythm game Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night will feature Virtua Fighter series collaboration DLC costumes. An early promotional image shows 8 cast members dressed as VF characters. Similarly, Persona 5: Dancing Star Night will feature Yakuza series and Sonic The Hedgehog-themed DLC costumes. No DLC prices for the costumes have been announced yet. Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on May 24th, 2018.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Guile Nameless Soldier Crossover Costume

Capcom revealed a new "Crossover Costume" coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Guile will be getting a Nameless Super Soldier costume - based on the main character from the 2D side-scrolling shoot-'em-up game, Forgotten Worlds (1988). Nameless Soldier also appeared in Marvel VS Capcom (1998) as an assist character. To obtain this costume, SFV players must play Extra Battle using Fight Money and complete the weekly challenges for a full month. Blue Mary Joins The King of Fighters XIV on April 12th, Reveal Trailer + Official HD Screenshots

Today, SNK announced Blue Mary as the final DLC character coming to The King of Fighters XIV in the upcoming version 3.0 update. The fan-favorite grappling goddess, who first appeared in Fatal Fury 3, returns in KOF XIV with her bone-snapping throws and hard-hitting strikes. Check out Mary's official reveal trailer! This afternoon, Playstation.Blog also posted some official screenshots and commentary by SNK producer Yasuyuki Oda. Blue Mary will join KOF XIV on April 12th alongside Heidern, Oswald, and Najd as DLC.

Tekken 7 "How Did Noctis Join The Fight" Behind The Scenes Video Feat. Katsuhiro Harada & Hajime Tabata

Bandai Namco Europe released a short "behind the scenes" video on how Final Fantasy XV's Noctis became a playable character in TEKKEN 7. Bandai Namco's Katsuhiro Harada and Square Enix's Hajime Tabata appear in the video to talk about how this unexpected collaboration came to be. Harada mentions that ideas of a Final Fantasy and TEKKEN crossover began way back in the PS1 era, and the opportunity to collaborate in 2018 was too good to pass up.

Darkstalkers Costumes & Season 3 Balance Update Now Live for SFV: Arcade Edition

As of Tuesday, April 3rd, three Darkstalkers-inspired costumes are now available in SFV: Arcade Edition for Urien, Juri, and Menat. The Darkstalkers costumes cost $3.99 each and come with 10 color variations. While Urien and Juri's costumes are inspired from well-known playable characters Donovan and Lilith, Menat's costume is based on a more obscure support character for Anakaris known as "Khaibit". Capcom also posted the full patch notes for SFV: Arcade Edition's Season 3 balance update on Capcom Unity.
