It's the second fighting game to be ported specifically for the Neo Geo Pocket, and sports some pretty good graphics with "chibi-style" sprites and rather decent artwork. The 2D gameplay is fun and simple and for the time, it wasn't a bad handheld fighter.

Closing Comment: First Contact shouldn't be missed by any fan of the Fatal Fury series... SNK did a good job of transforming the Fatal Fury characters into tiny, big-headed sprites, but still retaining nearly all of the moves and even personalities. The facial expressions during gameplay are priceless.
If you own a Neo Geo Pocket, this is pretty much a must have title... Not the deepest or most fun fighter on the system, but for nostalgia value, it's worth it. ~F.Yagami, Webmaster of TFG
