GENERAL/STORY:
King is a pro wrestler
from Mexico with mysterious leopard mask. Armor
King, King's mentor and foster father, was dead. King pledged on Armor
King's grave that he would seek revenge against the man responsive for
his mentor's death. The man was currently serving time in an Arizona State
Penitentiary. With the money he saved from professional wrestling tournaments,
King arranged for the murderer's release from prison and sent him a plane
ticket. With his plans in motion, King headed for the Tournament to await
his sworn enemy, the Vale Tudo fighter - Craig.
King's friendship
with Craig Marduk developed during the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
At the end of the previous tournament, King caught wind of an attack upon
Craig. He blew a gasket when he heard the assailant looked exactly like
Armor King. "Who in the hell would do such a tasteless imitation?!” King
said. King was determined to learn the true identity of Craig’s attacker.
During that time, King heard the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 would soon
be held. He decided to enter the tournament with Craig.
The "original" King from Tekken and Tekken 2 died
sometime before Tekken 5. The second (and current) King appears in Tekken 3
through Tekken 6.

REVIEW:
I swear if I
hear one more person refer to King as "the guy with the lion-head" I
swear I'm going to pile-drive their ass. For those that are uneducated on the
matter, King has a Leopard MASK, and is based off of the famous Japanese
manga character, Tiger Mask.
Anyway, the trademark
wrestler for the Tekken series, King has always managed to stand out in the
series as an interesting and unique character. He's a cool tribute
to Mexican wrestling, and some would say he's also a tribute to Tiger Mask,
which was a Japanese manga (1968) and was a name used by several real-life
Japanese pro-wrestlers as a gimmick.
His moves have developed greatly throughout
the series, and he now has some of the smoothest, flashiest, and most brutal wrestling
moves of any fighting game wrestler... On that note, he's also a blast to use!
REEEWWRR!!!! How does he make those
noises anyway? He's not a real leopard, contrary to his realistic leopard
sounds.
