She joins in the Dead or Alive World Combat Championship as an assassin in pursuit of Kasumi. She is also a rival of Helena.

Most ninja girls are getting kind of monotonous these days... Ayane isn't really an exception to the trend. Other than the fact that Tecmo gave her big boobs, and purple hair, there really isn't anything that original about her. She's got some cool alternate costumes though.
