Ein was left to die in the esoteric Black Forest of Germany. Even though he suffered amnesia, his deep desire to fight stayed intact with his beaten body. He mastered Karate in a very short period. He hopes to find answers to his life time search of self-discovery through participation in the "Dead or Alive 2 World Combat Championship." 

After a battle with his sister, Kasumi, he finally remembers his past. He is Hayate, ninja of the wind. Hayate is the 18th leader of the "Mugen Tenshin" style. He was the subject of DOATEC’s experimental superhuman project (Project Epsilon), in which he lost his memory. However in the last tournament he recovered his memory and was officially ordained as leader of the Mugen Tenshin style. He is now set to enter DOA again in order to defeat Genra, the superhuman created as a puppet of DOATEC's Project Omega. Shiden is his father and Raidou is his uncle.

In DOA2, Ein was my main. He's always had a decent moveset, but a few his attacks are actually kind of sloppy-looking... notibly in the later games. As Ein, his stance is quite awkward and looks pretty foolish if you ask me. He's a lot cooler as Hayate, but strangely in DOA3/DOA4 his facial rendering looks very strange. He almost looks like an ugly girl or something... lmao. His story isn't terrible; it's kind of funny actually.... "Ohh yeah, I'm a ninja. Duh." lol. Overall, he's a solid character in the DOA series but as a stand alone design, he's missing something.  It looks like they finally got his facial structure to look cool in DOA5... I'm looking forward to seeing him improve as a design!
