Along with Chris
Redfield, Jill is a member of STARS Alpha team. STARS was deployed to
investigate a series of bizarre murders in the Arklay Mountains, where they
eventually discovered the Umbrella Corporation's Arklay Research Facility. Jill
initially works with Barry Burton, as they inspect the mansion and discover its
undead residents. She and Chris discovered that STARS leader Albert
Wesker had betrayed them, and after defeating the Tyrant released by Wesker,
Jill escaped the mansion along with Chris, Barry, Bravo team member Rebecca
Chambers, and Alpha team pilot Brad Vickers.
Jill of course debuted in the classic survival
horror game, Resident Evil, and she had the starring role in Resident Evil
3. Since then, Jill has appeared in a variety of Capcom
games and also appeared in the feature film Resident Evil 2.

Jill's fighting game debut was quite memorable. In MVC2, Capcom gave her a
truly innovative and clever fighting style involving zombies, zombie-dogs
& evil crows attacking her (and ultimately her opponents) during gameplay.
Her 2D sprite is badass and her innovative fighting style worked amazingly well with MVC2's
intense gameplay. Even though Jill was an underpowered character in MVC2, she was
still a blast to use!
I was ecstatic when I heard Jill was returning in MVC3, but when I found
out she was
going to appear as "Battle Suit Jill" from RE5... I was very disappointed.
I'm not a big a fan of her Nina Williams-inspired
get-up, and her new moveset pales in comparison to her classic one. To
sum up her MVC3 fighting style: Kick, kick, kick, kick, kiiick, flip, kick,
kick, cartwheel, kick, kick, super-kick, kick, flip, double-knee. This
disappoints me Capcom. I feel like I should do two separate character ratings here,
because I do dislike her MVC3 appearance. For the time
being, the rating you see here is for her superior MVC2 version, which Capcom
really should've used in MVC3. Damn that Resident Evil 5... *sigh*
