Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.
World Stage Announced

|
 Sega
announced Virtua
Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, an updated version of Virtua
Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. adding cross-play support and new playable
character Dural.
The rollback netcode-enhanced game will introduce a new World Stage
single-player mode where players enter tournaments and face ghosts based
on pro players. If you already own the Steam version of VF5 R.E.V.O.,
the game will automatically be updated to the new version when it releases
in October 30th, 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox
Series X|S. The game was also confirmed for Switch 2 but Sega hasn't
announced a release date.

Believe it or not, even after 23+ years and countless title
updates... Dural,
the boss of Virtua Fighter
5, has never been featured as playable character. The boss
character will now be made playable in Virtua
Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage via paid DLC. The price for the DLC
has not yet been revealed. Note that Dural cannot be used in official SEGA
tournaments such as the Virtua Fighter Open Championship.

Sega announced a Closed Beta Test for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.
World Stage in early September 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox
Series and Steam. During EVO 2025, Sega mentioned they have an
announcement planned for Sunday so we'll likely be learning more about the
new VF project. Stay tuned on The Fighters Generation for updates and continued coverage.
