EVO Online 2020 Has Been Cancelled, Statements from Capcom, Bandai Namco, NetherRealm & Arc System Works

If for any reason you were looking forward to the EVO Online 2020 event, you'll be disappointed to learn that the entire event has been officially cancelled. The reason for the sudden cancellation is due to serious sexual abuse allegations made against EVO event organizer, Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cuellar. Joey Cuellar has since been removed as EVO's CEO and replaced by co-founder, Tony Cannon. This evening, Capcom, Bandai Namco, and NetherRealm Studios have all confirmed via social media that they have removed themselves from the event. Directly below is EVO's official statement on the situation and the future of the Evolution Championship Series. [UPDATE] On Friday, Arc System Works posted their official statement, following suit with other developers.
