WWE's Asuka Did Motion Capture for Virtua Fighter 5, Also Loves Fighting Games

Before she was a WWE Superstar, female pro-wrestler Asuka did motion capture work for Virtua Fighter 5 back in 2006. On Twitter, Asuka (real name Kanako Urai) reminded fans that she was a motion actor for "many characters" during the development of Virtua Fighter 5, including Vanessa Lewis. Asuka herself is also well-known to be a fan of fighting games, especially SNK series such as The King of Fighters. She even owns a full-size classic NEOGEO arcade machine at her house (with KOF2002)! Below is Asuka's tweet from yesterday regarding her VF5 motion capture work, replying to Matt McMuscles. Back in 2017, she also mentioned on Twitter that she was a motion actor for VF5 (see tweets below).

In March 2021, Asuka shared this pic of her NEOGEO cab!

Asuka also has her own YouTube channel (KanaChanTV). Thanks for reading and check out some other fighting game × pro-wrestling articles, below!
