Rachel is a fiend hunter from the Holy Vigoor Empire. She and her twin sister Alma are afflicted with a blood curse that turns humans into fiends. By the events of Ninja Gaiden, the curse has consumed Alma. Believing there is no cure for their condition, Rachel seeks Alma through much of Ninja Gaiden in order to kill her to redeem her soul. Rachel made her first appearance in 2004's Ninja Gaiden, appearing as a sidekick to Ryu Hayabusa. She became playable in Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, as well as Musou Orochi 2 Special. She made her fighting game debut in Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate.

I've played most of the original Ninja Gaiden games back in the late 80's / early 90's, though I wouldn't call myself a fan of the series today... partly because I don't like the direction the series went in. Rachel is actually a pretty good example of this - because when I think "Ninja," I don't tend to think "blatantly sexualized blonde woman with huge breasts". -__- Catch my drift?

Rachel looks out of place in NG... but of course she fits right in with the DOA cast, right? *rolls eyes* Visually, Rachel has one of the sluttiest (and tackiest) outfits I've ever seen (and no, that's not a good thing). Her fighting style is a weird mix of powerful strikes, wrestling, and.... Ninjitsu-ish moves? As I said, weird. She's a "big" girl and hits hard, which makes sense I suppose, but there's not much exciting about her 62 moves. She doesn't have many throws and she has Sarah Bryant's knee stomp thingy from VF2? (Reeeally, they couldn't give her a different one???) She looks enough like Sarah as is. Ohh, but she does have her "stripper walk" down pat, of course! Sorry, but if you really like Rachel as a design, you are very easily entertained.
