Remy's father abandoned his family to pursue the path of the true warrior. Due to this, Remy holds a grudge against all street fighters. When his sister died, he encased her in a block of ice to preserve her. He let his deceased sister sink to the bottom of the sea and realized that he has to put his dark past behind him. For the record, his father is not Guile, Charlie, Ryu or anyone else we know.

Like many of the characters from the SFIII series, Remy was created to take the place of a classic character... in this case, Guile. Remy's primary special moves are very similar to Guile's, but the manner in which he does them is very, very unique. Remy is a dark, mysterious fighter and he almost looks like he could fit into the KOF series if he wanted to. His attire is actually pretty similar to Iori Yagami's. ;) Remy is also one of the skinniest fighters of any fighting game, which along with his "goth-like" mannerisms, is a large part of his design. It's nice to see Capcom out of the realm of stereotypes and try something different, which is one of the reasons why I like the SFIII roster so much. Remy is no doubt a great addition to the dynamic SFIII line-up.
