Bryan Fury
(LAST UPDATE: 10/10/2009)
....

GENERAL/STORY:
Bryan came to the realization that his life was quickly coming to an end. Two years ago, the Mishima Zaibatsu recruited Doctor Abel as its top scientific advisor.  When this happened, Abel abandoned Bryan without giving a second thought to the now-obsolete cyborg's well being. Bryan knew that the only person capable of extending his life was Abel, his creator.  Bryan despised both Heihachi Mishima, the man who took Abel away from him, and Abel himself for abandoning him. One day, Bryan heard news of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, and decided to enter the Tournament.  He entered knowing that it would probably be his final fight.

As he trained, Bryan sensed that his death was quietly approaching. Despite his impending death, Bryan's physical strength did not diminish.  On the contrary, Bryan's muscles flowed with energy that made him more powerful than before.  Along with this new strength, Bryan developed an almost uncontrollable rage that also manifested itself in his outward physical appearance. Bryan staked everything on this one hope - if he won the Tournament, he would become the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.  More importantly, if Bryan defeated Heihachi  Mishima in the tournament, he could easily take total control over the Mishima Zaibatsu to do his bidding. If all went as planned, Bryan would command Abel to modify his body to prolong his life.  This would also be an opportunity for him to upgrade his body. It would be his opportunity to upgrade himself to the most powerful being in existence.

After getting his hands on a perpetual generator, Bryan Fury decided to join the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 for the purpose of testing its efficiency. However, Yoshimitsu's repeated meddling hindered his tests and hopes of unlocking its ultimate power, greatly frustrating Bryan. Soon afterwards, Bryan began destroying everything in sight.

Driven by rage, he joined various battlefields the world over, indiscriminately leveling this and that to rubble; however, he soon grew tired of the sameness of it all. Around that time, he caught wind of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6's announcement. Feeling it was better suited for his frenzied appetite, he headed in its direction.

REVIEW:
I used to love using Bryan Fury in Tekken 3... He was definitely a badass and original character when he debuted. Although in the later of the Tekken series (Tekken 4-5), I pretty much stopped using him due to the vast number of other "badasses" in Tekken that I prefer using over Bryan.

Bryan's kickboxing-based fighting style only seemed to improved slightly in Tekken 5/DR, but in Tekken 6/BR they finally gave him the update he deserved. His new animations and hard-hitting new moves almost make him seem like a whole a new character... Bryan's back! I might have to start using him again. Hehe. In closing, I'm glad he's still around.
