	Game Informer Interviews Takayuki Nakayama and Shuhei Matsumoto on Street Fighter 6

  

Game Informer recently shared an interview recorded during Summer Game Fest '22 featuring Lead Director and Producer of Street Fighter 6, Takayuki Nakayama and Shuhei Matsumoto, respectively. In the 8-minute video interview (below), they talk about how Street Fighter 6 will use inspiration from the worlds of Final Fight and SFIII: 3rd Strike, the game's "street culture" and graffiti art direction, why Modern Control Type "is not an 'Easy Mode'" and could be used in tournament play, and finally, how the development team is learning from SFV's mistakes to ensure a bright future for the series.     In the interview, Matsumoto mentions Director Nakayama's newly found connection with the Street Fighter community, as he prioritized communication with fans and hardcore players during the development of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. This connection to the community and transparency with game development has been very well-received by fans and players, a relationship that looks to continue strongly with Street Fighter 6.
