Team
Samurai Joins The King of Fighters XV on October 4th, New
Gameplay and Official Screenshots

 Today,
SNK unveiled a new King of Fighters XV
gameplay trailer for Team Samurai's Haohmaru,
Nakoruru, and Darli
Dagger
and announced the team's release date — October 4th, 2022. The new
trailer shows a few seconds of gameplay and several combos for each Samurai
Shodown guest character coming to The King of Fighters XV early next month. Watch

Today's trailer
has an interesting Easter egg that old school SNK / NeoGeo fans may
pick up on. In the trailer, Haohmaru's dialogue with Mai
Shiranui suggests that he remembers her from his original Samurai
Shodown ending

where Mai made a
cameo. Humorously, Mai doesn't remember this occasion. (They also met
later in Capcom Vs. SNK 2
—
which they should
both remember since CVS2 is one of the best 2D fighters ever made.
Not to mention NeoGeo
Battle Coliseum. C'mon, Mai.)

Once again, the
earlier EVO '22 trailer for The King of Fighters XV confirmed the return of Shingo Yabuki
and Kim Kaphwan as
well. Here's another look at
the official concept artwork for Shingo Yabuki and Kim Kaphwan,
set to join KOF XV sometime in 2023.

Below
is the updated KOF XV DLC roadmap showing Shingo and Kim coming in 2023, in addition to
Crossplay Support and additional unannounced characters coming later
next year. In
addition to being available for purchase individually, Team Samurai will
also be packaged
alongside Team Awakened Orochi's Orochi
Chris, Orochi
Shermie, and Orochi
Yashiro in Team Pass 2.
