GENERAL/STORY:
A long time ago,
in the distant past, there was a teenage boy named Eyedol (human), who
lived with his family in a small village. It was a simple life; things
were peaceful, and all was well. One day, a warlord named Gargos
(also human) came through the village, forging a trail of devastation.
Most of the villagers were killed, including Eyedol's family, and anything
of any value was taken. Eyedol was one of a few survivors.
This incident changed and forever scarred young Eyedol; he was now obsessed
with getting revenge against Gargos. First, he would become an even
stronger, and more menacing warlord than Gargos, humiliating him.
In the process, Eyedol would make other families feel the pain and loss
that he felt. Only after Gargos had been truly humbled would he kill
him. After only a few short years, Eyedol obtained a large weapons supply
and a modest army of followers. He began his own reign of terror
across the world, killing, terrorizing, brutalizing, and pillaging.
No matter what he did though, he was always in Gargos's shadow. Gargos's
was becoming more and more feared everyday. Eyedol was frustrated that
he couldn't surpass Gargos. His frustration only grew when word spread
that Gargos had become an immortal, immensely powerful being. Rumor
had it that Gargos challenged the gods to a fight and won - earning himself
the opportunity to have any one wish granted. He wished for immortality,
and the gods were forced to comply. However, showing their petty
side, the gods turned him into an energy-based gargoyle, who couldn't be
killed, but could be contained within a seal.
As a result of the
transformation, though, Gargos gained incredible power. Eyedol didn't quite
believe the rumors, until his army ran into Gargos's one day. Eyedol
was able to witness for himself the new and improved warlord. Perhaps
losing a bit of his sanity, Eyedol challenged Gargos - it was a battle
that destroyed his army and left him severely wounded. After his beating,
Eyedol retreated for a while. He brought himself back to full health,
and used his spare time to train harder. Realizing that Gargos could
no longer be killed, Eyedol would have to settle for containing him for
all eternity. After years of training, Eyedol challenged the gods,
and won as well. He wished for immense power, and the wish was granted.
Again showing their bitterness, the gods once mutated Eyedol, turning him
into a two-headed beast. However, he had his power, which was all
he really wanted. Meanwhile, Gargos had been continuing his rampage, fiercer
than ever. He was now planning to conquer the world, and according
to rules set forth by the gods, anyone who wanted the world could take
it, as long as they proved they were worthy of it. Gargos seemed
to be unstoppable, until the new Eyedol surfaced. Gargos was suddenly
slowed down, much to his displeasure.
Eyedol and Gargos would eventually
meet one-on-one on the battlefield, to settle the score once and for all,
and determine who would earn the right to conquer the world. On hand
at the battle, hundreds of thousands of warriors had gathered, to try and
kill the winner and end the horrors they had been inflicting on Earth.
Before the battle could come to an end, Eyedol was abducted and sent into
the future by the Ultratech Corporation. Quite unfamiliar with the world
of the future, and somewhat outclassed by Ultratech's technology, Eyedol
is suddenly in the position of a servant, having to fight for Ultratech.
He never really understands what happened to him, and what is going on,
but he knows that his captors are far more powerful than he, so for the
moment, he must comply. Eyedol got to fight the winner of Killer Instinct
6, Eagle. Eagle made a valiant effort, but Eyedol killed him.
In Killer Instinct 7, Eyedol was to fight either Jago
or Fulgore, but somehow, he ended up fighting
Orchid instead. Eyedol was infinitely stronger than Orchid,
and more powerful, but Orchid was quicker and more resourceful. She
managed to kill Eyedol, and his death released the massive energies that
were bestowed upon him by the gods. It was these energies that ripped
the Ultratech Corporation back into the past.

REVIEW:
Ahh, I
get it... Eyedol, as in... Idol.
Eyedol was a cool and freaky boss for the series. His infinite combo was also
quite entertaining, I actually used to be able to pull it off.
