Eileen

BIO:

After losing both of her parents at a young age, she was raised by her grandfather—a "Kou-Ken" martial arts master from China. In addition to her grandfather's training, she perfected her skills with a Beijing opera troupe.

One day, she happened to see a martial arts demonstration by Pai Chan and was amazed and captivated by the beauty and strength of her movements. Since that time, Eileen thinks of little else besides finding a way to approach Pai. To this end, she enters the Fifth World Fighting Tournament to find Pai.

Eileen is one of the first (and only) fighting game characters to authentically represent the "monkey fist" Kung Fu style... shoutouts to Monkey Boy. The Monkey Kung-Fu style is undoubtedly one of the silliest martial arts styles to look at. Effective in real? That's another topic. Effective in Virtua Fighter? Yeah! Like Shun Di's Drunken Kung-Fu, Eileen offers another oddball Chinese martial art to the VF scene.

Eileen gets some cool points for her Son Goku-inspired main costume, but when she's not wearing it and in a customized outfit, I forget who she is. She's got one of those forgettable faces and hairstyles, IMO. To her credit, Eileen's moveset is impressively animated and she fits into the VF series naturally. She's entertaining and has great animations, but the monkey style itself might be the only thing that holds this character back from being legit. Shoutouts to Son Son as well! Overall, Eileen has too many E's in her name... but She's a cute and entertaining character not to be taken too seriously.
