GENERAL/STORY:
The
son of Cyclops and Madeline Pryor, Cable was
infected with a techno-organic virus by Apocalypse.
Lacking a cure, Cyclops agreed to send the infant Nathan into the future,
where the virus would be treated. Cable grew up several thousand years
in the future, where he became a mercenary and skilled fighter. He possesses
his mother's telepathic and telekinetic abilities, which he uses to keep
the virus from spreading. He also possesses a bio-metallic arm, which is
invulnerable. As an adult, he traveled back to the 20th century, where
he formed and led the group X-Force. He has been both a friend and an adversary
to the X-Men ever since.

REVIEW:
I've
been a fan of Cable since his first appearance in the X-men animated series...
And I still have all my Cable toys and cards.
He's always been a badass, and I was beyond ecstatic when I heard
he was confirmed for
Marvel VS Capcom 2. I wasn't surprised that
he brought his guns along, but everyone else at the arcade getting their
ass kicked by my Cable seemed to be.
He was said to be the most unbalanced and cheapest character in MvC2, and
he might be, but he's not impossible to beat with lower tier characters...
You just gotta know his weaknesses. For the record, I still like using
Cable, and doing Hyper Viper Beams over and over again. Never really
gets old.
