BIO:

The son of Cyclops and Madeline Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey), Cable was infected with a techno-organic virus by Apocalypse. Lacking a cure, Cyclops agreed to send the infant Nathan into the future, where the virus would be treated. Cable grew up several thousand years in the future, where he became a mercenary and skilled fighter. He possesses his mother's telepathic and telekinetic abilities, which he uses to keep the virus from spreading. He also possesses a bio-metallic arm, which is invulnerable.

As an adult, he traveled back to the 20th century, where he formed and led the group X-Force. He has been both a friend and an adversary to the X-Men ever since. Cable, knowing what the future could be, is trying to bring about a better world. Deadpool is an old friend and partner of his.

First off, I've been a huge fan of Cable since 1992 when he appeared in the X-men animated series... I still have an impressive collection Cable toys and Marvel cards from my childhood. :) He's always been a badass in the X-men series, and I was beyond ecstatic when I heard he was confirmed for MVC2. I wasn't surprised that he brought his guns along, but everyone else at the arcade getting their ass whipped by Cable seemed to be. LMAO!!

Yes, he was godlike in MVC2. He was top-tier (god-tier if you will), but NOT unbeatable for someone truly adept at the game. The fact that Cable was so overpowered actually made MVC2 fun and interesting. Cable's "keep away" fighting style is fun to use and his 2D sprite is badass. For the record, I still enjoy using Cable in MVC2 and doing Air Hyper Viper Beams repeatedly for epic 100+ hit combos. It never really does get old. I'm not surprised that they didn't put Cable in MVC3, since a lot of people would whine and cry, but of course I personally would've liked to see him return.
