Angel is an agent of a secret organization known as NESTS. She is assigned to keep an eye on K9999, whose purpose is to hunt down traitorous experiments that had left NESTS. They set off to find K' and other traitors of the organization. Near the end of the KOF 2001 tournament, it is revealed that both Angel and K9999 are on a mission to kill Kula and her guardians.

Some of her moves and mannerisms pay homage to entertainer Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Most notably, her "Winds Fairground", "Blue Monday Parade" and "Survivor's Banquet" mimic his "Laying the Smacketh Down", "Rock Bottom" and "People's Elbow" respectively. Her name is properly pronounced as "Ahn-hehl" as per the Spanish pronunciation of the word.

Angel's outfit and overall appearance certainly isn't short on "sexy". Too add to her visual hotness and epic curves, she's a master of sexy poses, which I'm sure most male KOF fans wouldn't complain about. She's also got the crazy facial expressions going on all the time... which shows off her "different "personality. Her 2D sprite is also one one the best animated from the "old style" of KOF games, which is a good example of how the animation of the series has evolved. Aside from that, Angel packs an interesting & pretty dynamic 2D fighting style. She's got the flashy high kicks, but can also layeth the smack down pro wrestling style! I mean c'mon... she does the freakin' PEOPLE'S ELBOW... If ya smeeell, what Angeeel... is cookin'..... (Sorry). Anyway, Angel might not be the best KOF female out there, but she's refreshingly different, and "cool" enough to fit into KOF. I hope to see her in future games!
