Mr. Big was the crime
boss of Southtown for many years, until he made the mistake of attacking the
Kyokugen dojo. He was eventually overthrown by Geese
Howard's organization, and later recruited by Geese himself. Mr. Big
quickly advanced through the ranks and soon became Geese's right-hand man.

Before the events of Art
of Fighting, Geese went out of town on business and left Mr. Big in
charge. Under Geese's orders, Big abducted Takuma's
daughter (Yuri) as an incentive to keep
the unwilling father working for the organization. The plan backfired on them
when Ryo Sakazaki and Robert
Garcia fought their way through Southtown, defeated Mr. Big, and rescued
Yuri. In Art of Fighting 2, Big enters the tournament hosted by Geese
to redeem himself and prove his power to those who once defeated him.
In 1996, Geese recruited Mr. Big and Wolfgang
Krauser to form a team for the King of Fighters tournament. Mr. Big
accepted the invitation under the conditions of possibly expanding the his own
crime organization. At the end of King of Fighters '96, it is revealed
that Geese used his teammates to gauge the strength of the Orochi
power. Mr. Big was enraged and attempted to kill Geeze using a sniper, but his
plan is thwarted by Billy
Kane. Later, Mr. Big warns Geese that he will one day return the favor
again.

A little cocky are
we? What kind of ass really calls himself "Mr. Big"? Compensating
for something there, buddy? I bet he drives a big truck for the same reason. I always enjoyed beating
up Mr. Smalls with Ryu or Robert in AOF1. He was tough, like any proper
fighting game boss should be, but he was also beatable. Criminals and kidnappers
need to get wrecked!
Mr. Big is among the first "pimp" designs of the fighting game world,
for better or worse. Even though
he's a bit of a sleaze and a boss that proper heroes love to hate, Mr. Big is
still a memorable SNK character. I'm glad he crossed over into KOF (even
though he only appeared in a few games). I never really liked him, but even I
didn't think he should've
been completely left out of AOF3. Big's double eskrima fighting style is
a classic one for martial arts lovers and enthusiasts, so he gets some instant
cool points there. Some elements of his fighting style were cool, though he's a
big boring in some ways. His M. Bison
psycho crusher move is pretty laughable though. He got some goofy spinnin'
moves, don't he?
