Dairou

BIO:

Making his debut in Mortal Kombat: Deception, this Seidan guard-turned-mercenary is neutral. Dairou usually gets the job done as quickly as possible, but there might be some honor left in his cynical heart.

He was once a highly respected Seidan guardsman, much like Hotaru, but he was imprisoned when he attacked and killed the man who he was led to believe murdered his family. In Deception's Konquest mode, Dairou is hired to free Shujinko from prison. In the present, he has been hired by Darrius to steal the constitution of Seido and to kill Hotaru. Dairou fails to kill Hotaru given his appearance in Armageddon.

Dairou is yet another boring MK design to spawn from the horrid 3D era of MK. Why is he so boring? Maybe it's his under-developed, afterthought of a fighting style and laughably generic appearance. It seems like the MK dev-team might've created this design around his fatalities, which aren't terrible in terms of fatalities... but that's not enough to make him a good design. Compared to other fighting game characters at the time of his debut (and past MK classics), Dairou is a joke. I've seen beat-em-up bad guys (that disappear when they die) more interesting looking than him. lol.
