It's like the DOA dev-team thought: "Hmm, we need another chick with big boobs in DOA but we already have too many blondes & brunettes... so let's just give this one silver hair for shits & giggles!" Is she old? No. That said, I think the silver hair on Christie seems forced, and I'm not sure the stripper makeup is really working for her either. In fairness, a few of her outfit designs aren't too bad (the non-slutty ones). 
 
Christie's Snake Fist / kung-fu inspired fighting style is fairly decent overall, although a lot of her strings are very repetitive and don't have much impact or "oomph". Christie doesn't have many moves that really "pop" and grab your attention, although I will say her movement techniques added in DOA5 are better than most characters' in the game.
