Mickey Rogers

BIO:

Mickey Rogers was a professional boxer, but was expelled from the ranks after he accidentally killed a man in the ring. He currently stalks Southtown seeking opponents to vent his anger and frustration on, and enters the tournament for the same reason. When he debuted, Mickey had long hair, worn in dreadlocks. In AOF2, he has short hair.

In the first Art of Fighting, Mickey becomes a small time hood who works for Mr. Big so that he can get money as a street hustler. in Art of Fighting 2, Mickey has since reformed, wanting to get back into the professional boxing circuit. In Mickey's AOF2 ending, his trainer Pops (who is visible in Mickey's stage as well) informs him that his time has come, and he has a title bout. We then see Mickey training for the fight, confident that 'Mickey the Mauler' is going to be the next champion of the world. His Burning Upper is similar to Geese Howard's Reppuken.

If you didn't know, Mickey was sporting pink WAY before it was "cool" to wear pink. Actually, I'm kidding... it was never cool to wear pink. Anyway, Mickey? Seriously? This guy's just awkward and he's always been awkward. When I first fought against him in the early 90's arcades, I pegged him as a drugged-up homeless dude who wore pink women's shorts... not to mention the matching pink headband & pink shoes. AWKWARD.

Mickey actually had some cool boxing moves and all, but that sure as hell doesn't save him. Since his original appearance (and sexual orientation) was questionable, SNK changed up his design in AOF2. In the sequel he has short hair, and tucks in his shirt now. lol. Although his second appearance was more appropriate, his AOF2 get-up is incredibly generic.
